First Weekend Iftar of Ramadhan 2023
Given that it is the first weekend of the Ramadhan, my wife and I decided to tone down our weekend exploration activities a little in our attempt for self-preservation.
We initially planned to check out the children section at the Central Library but unfortunately, it was closed for renovation till mid-2023. I wish they have these kind of updates online, yknw. But it is alright, we always improvise and adapt as we go along the day.
So to quickly distract Daniel from the disappointment, we thought why not we go to Bras Basah Centre and check out their second-hand bookstore. Daniel did not even take more than a minute before deciding on which book that he wants to buy. We tried convincing him to check out the other books first but when Daniel has made up his mind, he has made up his mind.
Moving on the main highlight of the weekend - iftar with my family at our parents place. It is always a joy for the family to get together, regardless of the occasion. I always remember that I was young, times spent with my cousins were always so much fun, and I want Daniel to have the same experiences too.
Not forgetting to mention that nyai cooked up a “raya storm” and yayie fixed on “lampu lap lip”. For a moment, it all disorientated me - is this ramadhan or hari raya already?
Anyway, enough talking and enjoy the video, Daniel (:
