Animal Trippin'

Animal Trippin'

Just like that *fingers snap*, the first weekend of February has passed in a blink of an eye and this journal is slowly growing in content. If you are new here, you must be wondering who am I writing for and why? If that thought came across your mind, I suggest checking my very first post over here.

Anyway in other news, my wife recently got lucky when balloting for Singapore Zoo and River Wonder tickets for the three of us. So I thought that why not I take this opportunity to try my hands on video making while at the same time, generating different types of content as well. I cannot imagine Daniel reading through all of these posts without asking why did papa not consider other forms of content right?

So, onto our adventure to the far west now.

Well, what can I say? The visit to Mandai was great this time round. The lions were roaring their hearts away, the cheetah and leopard pacing up and down waiting to pounce on something, elephants out and about in their enclosure and Charlie, the Orang Utan, just chilling in his hammock up close to us. And the best part, for me at least, was when we saw the tiger climbing up a log trying to eat/play with what looked like a huge red firecracker. The very same tiger that I always see sleeping and yawning away in my past visits, which left an impression on me that Singapore Zoo is a sleepy place. But after our latest visit, I began suspecting that they have actually read my post on Zoo Negara in KL because almost all the animals were in hyper active mode (and I am not even exaggerating). Hmm.

Okay, jokes aside, we figured out that our good luck really came down to a well-timed visit to the zoo. Considering that this was our first time visiting the zoo this early, almost all of the animals were fresh, full and .. energetic in the morning. So here is a pro tip for you: Visit the Zoo at 0830 sharp to see the animals actively getting on with their day.

By the way Daniel, we did both Singapore Zoo and River Wonders in half a day before your nap time (deliberately planned that way). And it was perfectly executed. We hope that when you read this in the future, it will bring back some fond memories for you.

That is all for this week’s post and till next time, see you again!
