With 7 years of practice and exploration on the topic in the bag, I have long pondered on what exactly it means to shoot Street Photography. The community is split down right in the middle as to what makes up this seemingly ambiguous genre. By identifying what is so divisive within the discussion - which is the use of definitions - I hope to offer an alternative approach to this topic. This refers to replacing definitions with key principles of street photography instead and by doing so, I hope that it would be able to bridge different parts of the community together for the love of Street Photography.
